I went aboard Feb. 26, 1941 – F3/c and left on Feb. 15, 1944 EM1/c in Philadelphia.  Afterward I served on the Hyman DD732 and Cohocton AO106, but the Savannah was always my “home” ship.

I made reunions in Mobile, Fort Lauderdale, and the last one in Savannah.  I hope to make the one in Tucson.

In 1942 we operated with the Ranger in the West Indies and they made one trip with us on the North Atlantic patrols.  I don’t recall what happened to her, but in all the movies I have seen and all the documentaries, I have never seen her mentioned.
