 "NOW HEAR THIS"

The following first-hand accounts have been culled from “Now Hear This, a Newsletter of the USS Savannah (CL-42) and its Shipmates.”  The newsletter was founded in 1987, edited by Bob Garmy and published by Murry Flanders.   It served to reconnect fellow Savannah crew members with news of future reunions, personal joys and sorrows, and shared experiences from the past.

Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum would like to thank Dottie Keller Summerlin and Ron Keller who donated a number of these newsletters to the Museum in recognition of their father C.M. Keller, S1, USS Savannah (CL-42).

This website is an ongoing document.  Please check back as we hope to add new stories and content as they become available.

If you or someone you know has editions of these newsletters (especially from the late 1980s - early 1990s) and would like to donate them, or provide copies for the Museum, please contact Museum Curator Wendy Melton at wendymelton@shipsofthesea.org.
